Kinoole Farmers Market, a sanctioned local farmers market of the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, is accepting applications for its 2016 scholarship program.

Kinoole Farmers Market, a sanctioned local farmers market of the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, is accepting applications for its 2016 scholarship program.

Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who pursue a major in the agricultural field at an accredited educational institution in Hawaii or on the mainland.

Students must be from one of the three state Department of Education complex areas in Hawaii County, encompassing Ka‘u to Kohala.

This is the second year KFM will be providing opportunities for Hawaii youth.

Applications will be accepted through April 28 and are available at the Kinoole Farmers Market until noon on Saturdays or by writing to: KFM, P.O. Box 473, Papaikou, HI 96781.
